ABOUT DRAGON BOAT RACING

• Dragon Boat Racing is an ancient Chinese sport, started in Hong Kong as an International Championship in the early 90's and spread around the world. In ancient China, devoted followers of Chu Yuan, learning of his death, beat their paddles on the water and banged drums and gongs to frighten away the fish from Chu Yuan's body in the Mi Lo River. Athletes all over the world still meet to commemorate Yuan's sacrifice for honor and justice. The sport has grown into an international competitive event, with Dragon Boat Races and festivals held around the globe from Hong Kong to Sydney and San Francisco to London.

  Who We Are

  • Dragon Boat Federation of India is promoting the Age Old Water Sport of Dragon Boat Racing in the country for the last couple of Years. The Dragon Boat Racing is a very popular and exciting event, especially in the sub-urban and rural areas. Thousands of People accumulate to see the mega historic age old sport and enjoy it. It has become the mammoth tourism event and attracts many tourists around the World. We have designed an extensive plan to scout the talents and organize competitions throughout the year at different levels so that everyone generates the calibre to compete at International level and win laurels.
